Maybe the Nostalgia will never fade...

Hi Dolls, I sit here at 11pm, watching the 7th season of The Vampire Diaries....but something feels off. The show doesn't quite feel itself anymore. Sometimes I don't notice these sudden changes, they move so gradually and people age so gracefully, nothing is out of the ordinary... I usually watch my shows from start to finish, even when this is my 8th rewatch of TVD, however.... for multiple reasons I turned it off and restarted it again!

Immediately I was immersed in Mystic Falls, it truly was such a feeling seeing and hearing Elena again in the show, seeing Jeremy so young before all the trauma. Bonnie telling Elena "So, Grams is telling me I'm Physic." I think I felt more peace in a way, a shot of nostalgia, as the music and voiceovers and dark supernatural feelings I felt. haha, why so deep for such a normal update Ayla? Honestly I feel so called by nostalgia, In a way I think it is mainly still being young and my life was mainly lived as a child so all my nostalgia comes from that time. So finally I broke out of my own routine,  restarting the show in the middle without finishing it. I could tell now, maybe as i am getting older, how the writing felt, knowing about the actors in real life and what they went through. I think so many things affect me now in what I watch or do that I hate feeling bad within my nostalgia. As for TVD you could tell the writing was a touchy issue, they didn't know where they were going after Nina Dobrev left the show and I could feel it a lot more this time around.

I think I'm am telling myself for now that it's okay to feed into the nostalgia that I want, like it's totally okay that I love certain seasons of shows and how they make me feel during certain seasons of the year. Anyways... I wonder if anyone else feels this way? Im working on new experiences for the nostalgia I'll want to experience years from now, but for now I'll hold onto the ones I love from the years I was younger <3

Love Always, Ayla

  2. la nostalgia aveces puede ser nuestra peor enemiga. Cuando veo muchas series de mi infancia o adolescencia me pasa.
